Safeguarding is a proactive reporting system designed to provide Administrators warnings of serious breaches in their web safety policy online. Safeguarding monitors student activity online, and when a student transgresses the more serious elements of your web safety policy, Safeguarding is designed to alert the right people and create a background for what was happening at the time of the breach.
Designed to focus on seven categories of breaches, Safeguarding alerts personnel only to the most serious transgressions:
Safeguarding is designed to ignore benign web searches and is only triggered when a breach has occurred. However, it is possible to view the circumstances and background leading up to a breach, to be able to get a sense of the urgency or severity of the matter.
In addition to reporting categories of breaches, those breaches are also given a level to assess the likely severity. Levels of breaches include “Alert”, “Caution”, and “Advisory,” which are designed to correspond to the urgency of the threat.
Safeguarding also provides a way to delegate breach notification to other personnel within your district. Alerts can be sent via SMS or via email.
The reports themselves can also be made available via the Portal for staff and administrators to review independently. Using the portal also limits how many users need to be set up in the Admin interface.
Our specially developed technologies deliver real-time Dynamic Content Analysis™ of web pages, all without impacting on the users’ experience.
