So, why Cyber Security? Well, according to Pew Research Center, on a 13 question survey given to people from all backgrounds, the average number of questions answered correctly was only 5.5 out of 13 (Take the quiz to see how you score). That’s only 42% correct. Considering how integral computers are to modern living, this is astounding. Yikes!
Although the internet has proven to be a powerful and useful tool in today’s society, in the same way that you shouldn’t leave your house unlocked, you shouldn’t use a computer
without taking some general precautions.
Here are some basic tips to get you started with Cyber Security at work.
Although many of these feel like common sense, sometimes even the most basic security advice falls by the wayside out of forgetfulness or bad habits. Cultivating awareness goes a long way to help keep these issues top of mind.
